| A well furnished air-conditioned library
with computerized facilities exists. It has
a good collection of publications on topics
such as agricultural salinity, water
management, irrigation & drainage. The
library has a large number of special
publications of FAO, IRRI, UNESCO, ILRI,
ICID, IFPRI, ASA, ASAE and subscribed 85
international and national journals to
fulfill the needs of scientists,
researchers, teachers and students. The
library has 14597 books including Hindi
books, 1933 pamphlets and 7940 bound volumes
of the journals. Besides, there are 138
theses on subjects relating to Soil Science,
Agricultural Engineering, and Water
Management etc. available in the library.
Annual reports from the different National
and International Institutes and
Agricultural Universities are being received
in the library form time to time.

The
library is maintaining exchange relationship
with National and International
organizations and free mailing of Institute
annual report and other publications to
various research organizations, Universities
and other agencies. The library extend
information services to the scientific
personnel of research organizations,
universities, college students, research
scholars and other agencies / individuals
through reference of books, journals etc.
The library is also providing services like
Internet surfing, exploring, downloading,
and literature search through CDs like SOIL
and AGRIS. The readers are informed about
fresh arrivals at library on weekly basis. |
